Madison Hits the Road to Put in Work at Stevens Wrestling Clinic

On a gray and misty Sunday morning, twelve dedicated Madison wrestlers made their way to Hoboken, New Jersey for the 7th Annual Fall Wrestling Clinic at Stevens Institute of Technology. Hosted by Stevens Wrestling, led by coach Mike Clayton, and supported by the assistant coaching staff of Pete Galea, Jeff Marsh, and Jeff Jacobs, along with many members of the Stevens team, Madison wrestlers were drilled in fundamentals, and learned many new techniques.

Walking on a college campus, and getting to work in a college wrestling room was a motivating experience for the Madison wrestlers. For most of them, it was their first time on a college campus. Following the clinic, walking back to the bus, many of them were heard commenting on how much they wanted to wrestle in college.

The trip was made possible by the generous support of Beat the Streets.
