Pre Season Schedule

With a challenging season of 32 dual meets, and four individual tournaments, our preparations must begin early.

This is the pre-season schedule for Madison Wrestling.

The first day of our USA Wrestling charted club is Monday September 9th.

The club will run every week, Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 3 – 6 PM. Keep up to date on any changes with the facebook group, Madison Golden Knights Wrestling.

All Madison wrestlers will have their individual USA Wrestling membership paid for by the program. This is a full membership, good for an entire year.

Madison will be hosting a middle school wrestling jamboree on Saturday, October 19th. ALL wrestlers are expected to attend and support the middle school wrestlers.

Any help you can lend to support the concessions stand, our primary means of fund raising to offset the costs of USA Wrestling memberships, and tournament registration costs, is greatly appreciated, and much needed.

Pre-season competitions:

There will be Thursday night matches at the Beat the Streets Manhattan Training Center every Thursday in October.

Madison Wrestling is excited about the team’s  up to date schedule being posted.

The big changes are the PSAL Holiday Tournament, and the Sewanhaka (Section VIII) Dual Meet Tournament.

This year’s PSAL Holiday Tournament will be a team, dual meet format. It will also be held much earlier than in years past. The first match, of a total of five, will take place on Tuesday, November 26th.

Madison will host a re-match of last years consolation finals with MLK, November 26th, at 5 PM.

Then, three matches will be wrestled on Saturday November 30th. The two host sites are Farrell, and Madison. These contests will determine the match-ups for the following day –  for final team placement in the tournament – at Madison Square Garden on Sunday, December 1st.

The Sewanhaka Dual Meet Tournament takes the team out to Long Island, for five matches, on Saturday, January 18th.

This will be a busy year for Madison’s Golden Knights Wrestling Team.
